This card, Cryptic Annelid, would be beneficial in a control or combo deck that relies on setting up specific draws or manipulating the top of the library. While its ability to scry multiple times can provide card selection and help dig for key pieces, there are more efficient cards like Augury Owl or Augur of Bolas that offer similar effects with lower mana costs and immediate impact, making them better choices for competitive play.
