While it may not be the most competitive card in higher-level play due to its high mana cost, there are certainly better options available for token-based decks, such as Parallel Lives or Doubling Season, which offer more value for their mana cost and have a greater impact on the game overall. However, for a casual or themed deck centered around Insects or tokens, Rise of the Ants could still see play for its flavorful and fun gameplay.
