What Is The Edison Format?
The Edison format is the most popular "vintage" Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG format nowadays, as well as one of the most popular Time Wizard formats. Its name was inspired by the Shonen Jump Championship held in Edison, New Jersey on April 24th and 25th, 2010.

This format is a faithful recreation of the meta at this historic event, so it uses the Forbidden and Limited list from March 2010, and Master Rule 2, the ruleset at the time.
Main Goal
The main idea behind this format is to recreate the March 2010 meta, a balanced and accessible game experience that values deck diversity and interaction between players above all else. Edison duels are more dynamic than GOAT duels, for instance, but this format still strongly values strategic decision-making and deckbuilding.

Because it features a "healthy" variety of viable, competitive archetypes, the Edison format attracts both players who want to relive the early days, when the first Synchro monsters were just coming up, and those who want to play a competitive format that is a bit less explosive than the current Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG meta.

Decks to Play in the Edison Format

Vayu Turbo
Vayu Turbo is quite fun. It centers around getting as much as you can from Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor. To put it in the graveyard as fast as possible, this deck uses a "mill" strategy.
HERO Diva
HERO Diva stands out for its aggressive approach. This deck easily puts powerful Synchro monsters in play, and its boss monster is the incredible Elemental HERO Absolute Zero. Please note that it can also put in play multiple copies of "Absolute Zero", which is incredibly strong for this format.
Blackwing

Blackwing is a very popular Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG list even now, and it is also an option for the Edison format. The main strategy centers around Synchro monsters, but it also plays the powerful Icarus Attack, which efficiently deals with problematic cards on the enemy board.
Frognarch
Frognarch combines the control "Frog" engine with the powerful "Monarch" monsters. These cards may seem too different at a first glance, but they actually work really well together, particularly when the Frogs start to lock down the game. After that, the "Monarchs' will easily be able to end the game.
Quickdraw
Quickdraw is considered by many the best deck in the Edison format. It stands out as a combo deck centered around Synchro monsters. Its main card is Quickdraw Synchron, a strong extender that lets you put in play the best Synchro monsters from this time.
