Introduction
With the arrival of the end of the year festivities, a question came to my mind: are there any Yu-Gi-Oh! cards related to this holiday season? I did a search to get the answer and came to share with you what I found.
Christmas Cards from Yu-Gi-Oh!
Santa Claws
Santa Claws is nothing more than a corrupted “Santa Claus”. In English, the second part of his name is a pun on the word "Claws". Its draw 1 card effect can be understood as a reference to the tradition of Christmas gifts.

In addition, its ATK/1200 and DEF/2500 are a reference to the Christmas date 12/25 and its appearance is inspired by Krampus, a mythological creature that accompanies Saint Nicholas during the Christmas season, according to legends from various regions of the world.
Snowman Eater
Snowman Eater refers to the traditional snowmen that are made in some countries during the Christmas season. And once again it is possible to observe a corrupted Christmas being, this time, there is a monster hidden under the snowman.
Snowman Eater can also be seen on the artwork of 2 more cards in the game: Snowman Creator and Snowman Effect.
Ghostrick Jackfrost
Ghostrick Jackfrost is another a snowman and makes reference to the movie Jack Frost (1998). In the film, the protagonist dies in a car accident and returns to life at Christmas to see his family again, but as a snowman.
Trickstar Corobane
Trickstar Corobane is inspired by Helleborus Niger, also called “Christmas Rose”. Furthermore, his appearance references Santa's helpers.
Performapal Kuribohble
Performapal Kuribohble doesn't have very deep connections with the festive date, but it can be noticed that he is using props that give him a very Christmas look.
Windwitch - Snow Bell
Windwitch - Snow Bell has an appearance inspired by the decorations that are placed on the Christmas tree, and its name also refers to the Christmas period.
Linkerbell
Linkerbell represents the star that is placed on top of Christmas trees and also has a bell, which is another symbol of this festive date.
Ghost Beef
According to the card's description, Ghost Beef is "The Ghost of Christmas Dinner". Also, its name is a pun for “Roast beef”.
Mild Turkey
Moving on to the haunted Christmas foods, Mild Turkey represents a Christmas Turkey that has come to life, or nearly so.
Gift Exchange
In Gift Exchange we can see the children of a family of goblins opening their Christmas presents. Most of them are happy, except for the one who received a T-shirt as a gift instead of toys.
Continuing with the idea of Christmas gifts, there are other cards that can also be related to them: Space Gift, Gift Card and Present Card.
Oh Tokenbaum!
As the goblin children open presents, Oh Tokenbaum! shows us the adults feasting on Christmas dinner.
