Shining Star Dragon is another way to synchro-summon something on your opponent's turn, but this time from your hand.

At a first glance, there is no deck in the current metagame that can use this card all that well, but it still has a lot of potential. Particularly when you consider you can use it with a "Red Dragon" engine to summon Hot Red Dragon Archfiend King Calamity, which is, potentially, a FTK.

Mirror Magic Master of the Ice Barrier is a great support card for its archetype. It will be important both because it is a tuner starter and because it searches and adds cards to your hand when it is sent to the graveyard.

Besides this, this card will also let you use the "Frog" engine in Spright again and make it a 1-card combo, which will significantly increase the consistency of this deck. It might bring it back into the metagame.

Link-1 monsters are an extremely strong mechanic, and Repaired Genex Controller will be the newest face of this "class". Through this card, Genex can play a 1-card combo, and become quite consistent. Even though this is a terrific support card, I don't see much competitive potential in this deck. It is simply a fun and interesting option for casual players.

Infernoid Evil is one of the best cards in this set because it will give a lot to its archetype as one of its support cards. Its archetype is also incredibly viable as a competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG deck. Besides this card, the Infernoid archetype will also get Infernoid Flood, a boss monster that can negate one or more special-summoned monsters, besides banishing them.

Spiritual Beast is another archetype that might become viable competitively because of the excellent support cards it will get. I'll highlight Spiritual Beast Tamer Lara, which will give you more resilience, protection (as you can banish it to protect your monsters from being destroyed), and consistency (as you can use it to summon a Spiritual Beast from your deck if you banish it).

This deck will also have Ritual Beast Ulti-Nochiudrago, a contact fusion monster that protects the monsters in this archetype from being targeted by effects, and also recycles banished Spiritual Beasts.

Phantom of Yubel is another contact fusion monster, and, additionally, one of the best cards in this set. "Yubel", as an archetype, has been performing well in regional tournaments, and will likely stabilize in the meta when it implements this new support card because its effect is a "pseudo-negate". It changes the effect of one of your opponent's monsters.

An important detail is that this type of effect goes around the protection Tenpai's field spell, Sangen Summoning, gives to Fire Dragons, which might be relevant and bring this deck to the top tiers of the competitive scene.

Dragon Master Magia is possible the strongest omni-negate in Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, considering, with it, you can negate a monster's, a trap's, and a spell's effect or trigger, all on the same turn. Even though its effect is extremely unbalanced, currently we have no ways to summon it efficiently. As soon as players find that way, this card will be quite relevant in the metagame.

Reprints

Diviner of the Herald is an excellent reprint. That is not only because it is essential in Voiceless Voice, one of the top contenders in the current meta, but also because it is a support card for any ritual deck around right now or in the future.

Ever since this archetype was released, Spright Blue has been expensive. So, now it's finally time to welcome its reprint, which will certainly make it a bit cheaper. Even though this deck is no longer as strong in the meta as it once was, it is still an efficient strategy, and might catch even incredibly strong decks off guard if you pilot it well.

Incredibly popular during the Kashtira format, Kurikara Divincarnate is the most important staple in this set. Even though it is not that popular right now, it will certainly be quite popular in local tournaments, considering it will be more accessible really soon.
