About Phantom Revenge
Phantom Revenge is the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG set. It was supposed to come out worldwide on December 5th, but, in some regions, such as North America and Latin America, it was pushed to December 19th, 2025.
This set introduced to the game three new archetypes: Hecahands, Enneacraft, and Kewl Tune. Furthermore, it also reprinted a few cards we can use with these new strategies.
In this article, we'll go over the main cards in Phantom Revenge!
Main Cards in Phantom Revenge
Hecahands
Hecahands is centered around LIGHT/DARK Illusion monsters. Its name was inspired by the three giants with one hundred arms depicted in Greek mythology, the Hecatoncheires. Furthermore, the "hand" theme in this archetype also references the star Betelgeuse (α Orionis), the brightest star in the sky.

Hecahands Ibtel and Hecahands Yadel add consistency to this deck. "Ibtel" summons another "Hecahands" monster straight from your deck, and "Yadel" gets spells and traps from your deck.
Furthermore, both force you to reveal them from your hand and shuffle them back into your deck to use their effects.

The other Hecahands monsters, particularly the DARK monsters, all have the same effect. You can summon them from your hand if the opponent adds a card to their hand.
Once they're in play, they have different effects. Hecahands Godos's Quick Effect "steals" a monster from the enemy graveyard. Hecahands Gaigas lets you excavate the top 3 cards of your opponent's deck and, if you find a monster among them, you can summon it on your side of the board. Hecahands Breus lets you look at your opponent's hand and, if you find a monster among them, you can summon it on your side of the board.

Hecahands Jauzah is a fusion monster. It adds more consistency to this deck and gives you a way to follow-up. As a result, it is extremely critical.
Hecahands Xeno is the powerful Hecahands boss monster. Its Quick Effect lets you "look" at 2 random monsters in the opponent's extra deck, and then summon one of them on your side of the board. Furthermore, if is destroyed by an enemy effect, you can take control over any number of monsters under your opponent's control.

Hecahands is this archetype's ROTA. Besides getting monsters, it also lets you put in play a Hecahands spell or trap straight from your deck if you pay a cost when you activate it.
Hecahands Tartaros is one of the main cards in Hecahands. Besides being the only fusion spell, it also bounces spells and traps, which can be relevant in certain matches.
The two traps in this deck are very strong counters. Ib'al-Hecahands (a monster negate) and Yad'al-Hecahands (a spell/trap negate) negate, destroy, and put that certain card on your side of the board.
Overall, Hecahands doesn't appear to be too strong, but it does "steal" cards, particularly monsters. This is usually very strong and could be quite difficult to face. However, it seems a bit too inconsistent to perform well throughout a big tournament.
Enneacraft
Enneacraft is centered around EARTH and LIGHT Machine Flip Pendulum monsters. It was inspired by the Enneagram system, a pseudoscientific personality typing model centered around typology. There are nine personalities in this model.

Enneacraft monsters share two effects: one of them lets you reveal them from your hand to special summon another monster from your hand face-down in defense position. The other one lets you change them from face-down to face-up, both in defense position, to activate an extra effect, but this will depend on your opponent doing something.
Proto Enneacraft - "orgIA", Deftero Enneacraft - "alazoneIA", Ekto Enneacraft - "tromarIA", and Enato Enneacraft - "oknirIA" all let you add 1 Enneacraft card from your deck to your hand with this "extra effect". Meanwhile, Enneacraft - Aiza.LEON's, Enneacraft - Asta.PIXEA's, Enneacraft - Atori.MAR's, and Enneacraft - Archa.TAIL's extra effects are interaction and/or protection effects.

Enneapolis is a field spell that lets you move your Enneacraft monsters from your monster zone to your hand or to your Pendulum zones to protect or recycle them.
Enneacraft Release adds consistency to this archetype. This spell lets you put 1 Enneacraft monster straight from your deck in your Pendulum zone. It also lets you recycle resources when you banish it from your graveyard.
Enneacraft Reverth is basically card draw, but it actually won't be too useful because you have to return Enneacraft cards to your deck to use its effect. As for its graveyard effect, it's also not that relevant in real matches because your monsters won't rely on that to enter play.
Enneacraft monsters are more modern compared to other Flip monsters, but they're a bit slow for the current Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG format. As a result, I don't believe this archetype has a lot of potential, competitively speaking. But it should be quite fun if you enjoy this mechanic.
Kewl Tune
Kewl Tune centers around Synchro monsters, more specifically Tuner monsters.
The word "tune" is a reference to music, but it also represents its main mechanic, Tuner monsters. In fact, this archetype only plays this type of monster. Meanwhile, "Kewl" is a reference to the modern English slang "Killer", which also references "aggressive" musical scenes. It also references a few monsters in this archetype that wield lethal weapons.

Kewl Tune monsters share an effect. When you use them as material for Synchro summons, you can use a Tuner from your hand as material as well. They also have varied effects when you use them as materials.
Kewl Tune Cue is your main normal-summon and can summon any Tuner from your hand, deck, or graveyard. When you use it as material, however, it lets you look at the top two cards in your opponent's deck, banish one of them, and return the other to the top or bottom of their deck.
Kewl Tune Mix lets you get a Kewl Tune monster from your deck or graveyard and add it to your hand. You just can't get level 2 monsters this way. When you use it as material, you can target an enemy monster and destroy it.
Kewl Tune Reco also lets you get a Kewl Tune monster from your graveyard or deck and add it to your hand, but this time you can't get level 3 monsters this way. When you use it as material, you can target an enemy spell or trap and destroy it.
Kewl Tune Clip is the Kewl Tune handtrap. Its effect lets you summon it from your hand during the opponent's main phase and synchro summon something when this effect resolves. When you use it as material, you can banish a random card in the opponent's extra deck.

Kewl Tune Track Maker is the main Kewl Tune searcher. It can get any Kewl Tune card in your deck and add it to your hand. Furthermore, when you use it as material, you can target a card under your opponent's control and return it to their hand.
Kewl Tune Remix is an intermediate Synchro monster that acts as interaction in the opponent's turn. However, it can also recycle Tuners in your graveyard (including a few handtraps).
Kewl Tune RS is the Kewl Tune boss monster. It has a very powerful continuous effect: "The Levels of monsters your opponent controls with 1700 or less original ATK are increased by 1." This is incredibly strong against Synchro and Xyz strategies. Furthermore, its Quick Effect is a monster negate.
Kewl Tune Loudness War protects your cards from being destroyed or targeted by enemy effects. It also recycles Kewl Tune monster effects by banishing them from the graveyard.

Kewl Tune Synchro is one of the best cards in this deck because, besides being the Kewl Tune ROTA, it also lets you summon a Tuner Synchro monster after this effect resolves. Furthermore, you can use it up to 2 times on the same turn, which we can't do with (almost) any other card in the game.
JJ "Kewl Tune" is quite important because it lets you access Kewl Tune monsters if you tribute a Tuner and also lets you normal summon something else afterward.
Kewl Tune Playlist is the only trap in this deck. It lets you reuse a Kewl Tune effect (when you use it as material) in your board or graveyard and then returns it to your hand. Just like Kewl Tune Synchro, you can use it up to 2 times on the same turn.
Particularly, I believe Kewl Tune is very similar to Dracotail, and it has a lot of potential. It is probably the most competitive deck in this set. It will certainly be one of the best strategies in the meta someday, maybe after a new banlist, more support, or simply after the meta shifts.
