Introduction
Nowadays, any time a Yu-Gi-Oh!TCG player hears the word "combo", the first thing they think of is the standard sequence of plays their favorite archetype relies on, which, due to the ever-increasing powercreep in the game, many times is a "one card combo".
Even though it seems contradictory to define combos this way, they're very common in Yu-Gi-Oh!TCG right now. They usually start when you play a card that lets you access another card, and the another, and another, always creating more advantage, until your board is complete. And all of that starts with only one card in your starting hand.

However, the combos I'll show you are more in line with the original concept of what a "combo" is: a combination of two or more cards whose effects you activate in an order that lets you create a new interaction, potentially more useful than it would be if these cards were used separately.
This way, in today's article, I'll show you 10 super cool combos in Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG!
Top 10 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Combos
Book of Moon + Nobleman of Crossout
This is a classic Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG combo, and it was once very popular. It works like this: first, you need to activate Book of Moon to target a face-up monster on the board and change it to face-down, in the defense position. Then, Nobleman of Crossout will have a valid target, and you can use this card's effect to banish that monster.
Spell Canceller + Royal Decree
Spell Canceller + Royal Decree is somewhat of a "passive" combo, but it can disable decks that depend on spell and trap effects completely.
To protect your Spell Canceller from being negated by an Infinite Impermanence, ideally, you'll wait until your opponent has activated it or played another card on the board. Only after they do that, you'll activate your Royal Decree.
Torrential Tribute + Summon Limit
Popular in trap decks, this combo is meant to punish your opponent for spamming monsters, and force them to pass their turn with an empty monster zone. You must wait until your opponent summons two cards, and then activate Torrential Tribute to destroy them. Next, you'll activate Summon Limit as a chain link 2.
This way, even if these monsters have effects that summon other monsters or themselves if they're destroyed, Summon Limit will prevent them from activating those effects because your opponent can't summon anything else, according to its effect.
Trickstar Reincarnation + Droll & Lock Bird
Trickstar Reincarnation + Droll & Lock Bird is an incredibly popular combo; its goal is to empty your opponent's hand. To play this combo, your opponent needs to use an effect that lets them get one or more cards from their deck and put it in their hand. Once this effect resolves, activate Trickstar Reincarnation as a chain link 1, and, next, Droll & Lock Bird as a chain link 2. This way, you won't banish the cards in your opponent's hand, but they won't be able to draw any other cards.
Nibiru, the Primal Being + Bystial Druiswurm
Nibiru, the Primal Being + Bystial Druiswurm is a combo that deals not only with your opponent's board, but also with the token "Nibiru" summons on your opponent's board almost simultaneously.
For this combo to work, your opponent needs to summon 5 cards or more so you can activate your Nibiru, the Primal Being. Furthermore, there has to be a light or dark attribute monster in either graveyard because you need to target it with Bystial Druiswurm's effect.

If you have met all of these requirements, now you only have to activate Nibiru, the Primal Being as chain link 1, and Bystial Druiswurm as chain link 2. This way, you'll summon "Druiswurm" before "Nibiru's" effect is resolved, so you'll tribute it with your opponent's monsters, and as these cards are resolved you'll be able to activate its effect on the graveyard and "remove" "Nibiru's" token from the board.
Gozen Match + Rivalry of Warlords + There Can Be Only One + Boss monster/Tower
This is the floodgate iron trio. They're currently limited, but have always been interesting cards, albeit a bit too situational. When you use Gozen Match, Rivalry of Warlords, and There Can Be Only One together, you force your opponent to keep only one monster on the board, which will usually be their normal summon.
To make it even better, if you control your deck's boss monster or some generic tower, you'll probably be able to deal with the single monster left on your opponent's board incredibly easily.
Inspector Boarder + Moon Mirror Shield
Inspector Boarder + Moon Mirror Shield is a very common combo in "Stun" or "anti-meta" decks, and tends to be quite difficult to face, considering most decks focus on monster effects. To use it, you only need to equip Moon Mirror Shield on Inspector Boarder. Your opponent won't be able to activate monster effects that easily anymore, and, additionally, Moon Mirror Shield will protect Inspector Boarder from being destroyed in battle.
S:P Little Knight + I:P Masquerena + EM:P Meowmine
Despite being united by Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG's lore, this trio isn't exactly an archetype, and its components are quite generic. Still, this combo tends to come up more frequently in cyberse decks.
To play this combo, you need to have I:P Masquerena on the board and EM:P Meowmine in your graveyard. So, on your opponent's turn, you must use I:P Masquerena's effect to summon S:P Little Knight and, as you do, you'll be able to activate S:P Little Knight's effect as a chain link 1 (to banish 1 enemy card), and EM:P Meowmine's effect as a chain link 2 (to return one of your opponent's cards to their hand). This way, you'll be able to deal with two enemy cards in a single play.
Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal + Transaction Rollback + Ghost Meets Girl - A Masterful Mayakashi Shiranui Saga
This combination can execute a pseudo "FTK" (first-turn-kill) when it faces most Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG decks. To play this combo, on your turn you must use Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal's effect to get Transaction Rollback from your deck and send it to your graveyard. On your opponent's turn, you'll repeat this process, but this time with Ghost Meets Girl - A Masterful Mayakashi Shiranui Saga.

Once both traps are in your graveyard, you only need to activate Transaction Rollback's effect to copy Ghost Meets Girl - A Masterful Mayakashi Shiranui Saga's effect. This way, you prevent your opponent from special-summoning cards from their hand, their deck, or extra deck, which will usually give you a victory against most decks.
Worldsea Dragon Zealantis + Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames + Salamangreat Raging Phoenix
Worldsea Dragon Zealantis + Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames + Salamangreat Raging Phoenix is definitely the most popular combo in this format. It is mainly popular in Snake-Eye variants, but other strategies also use it.
This combo wants to OTK the opponent, and, to play it, you need to spam monsters to access your links in a way that sends Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames and Salamangreat Raging Phoenix to your graveyard. At the same time, you have to control Worldsea Dragon Zealantis and another random Fire-attribute monster.
Your opponent also needs to have at least one monster on their board. If you have all of this, you only have to activate Worldsea Dragon Zealantis' effect to banish all monsters from the board and summon them again. Then, you'll trigger Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames, and she will destroy your random Fire-attribute monster and one of your opponent's monsters to summon herself from your graveyard (remember to put her in play co-linked to "Zealantis"). Next, because you destroyed a Fire-attribute monster on your board, Salamangreat Raging Phoenix may summon itself from your graveyard and buff itself with the ATK of the monster you destroyed.
From then on, you can go to your battle phase. If you have to, you may use Worldsea Dragon Zealantis' effect to destroy up to two cards on the board; otherwise, you only need to attack your opponent directly to win the match!
