Introduction

As of March 9, 2023, the Maze of Memories is legal in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and, despite not being a set with an absurd impact on the Metagame, it brings good cards imported from the OCG to the west. In addition, the set also has good reprints that promise to make some very relevant cards in the game cheaper.

So, in this article, I'll review the 12 cards that, I believe, are the best in this new set!

Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon is much more than support for the “Stardust Dragon” archetype, and is actually a generic support for synchro decks.

The culprit for this is the effect to Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower Tuner monster from your Graveyard. Which allows you to use it as a "ladder" for 9 or 10 Synchro Summons.

Evolution End Burst is a support for the Cyber Dragon deck, despite not mentioning the archetype name. This is because it is a seeker for Overload Fusion, fusion magic that is often used to summon Chimeratech Rampage Dragon and Chimeratech Overdragon.

In addition, its second effect practically guarantees you the otk, since you can attack with the same monster at least 6 times this turn.

Firewall Dragon Darkfluid - Neo Tempest Terahertz is a 5-link that supports Cyberse archetypes.

With a continuous effect to negate effects activated by the opponent's monsters during the Battle Phase, and a quick effect that makes it gain an additional 2,500 ATK, in addition to being able to attack more than once per turn, the new "Darkfluid" is ideal for finishing games.

Wake Up Your Elemental HERO is yet another card that reinforces otk strategies, and this time for the nostalgic Elemental HERO archetype!

2,500 ATK plus 300 for each material used in its summon and with the right to attack more than once, plus the burn equal to the ATK of a monster destroyed by this card, are good enough effects to finish off your opponent.

What's more, if this card is destroyed, you can still Special Summon 1 Warrior-Type monster from your hand or Deck to continue your combos.

Fresh off the banned list and currently limited, Ancient Fairy Dragon received a new errata, but it remains a strong card.

The change in its effect is that after destroying cards on the field zones, you cannot add 1 field spell with the same name as the ones that were destroyed.

Although subtle, the change reduces the consistency of decks with absurd field spells, but on the other hand, it reinforces decks that use different field spells, like ABC Therion, for example.

Baronne de Fleur is the best generic omni-negate in the game right now, and has a spot on any deck capable of Synchro Summoning 10 monsters.

Despite its versatility, the main players interested in acquiring “Baronne” at a lower price are Swordsoul players, an archetype that has become cheaper recently and has become a good budget option, but which needs this card to reach its maximum potential.

Widely played in Branded Despia since its release, Guardian Chimera is a very strong card, having an effect that, while it is interaction, allows you to draw cards and generate follow-up.

In addition, because it is very generic, it is a card with potential to be played in the most diverse fusion decks that will be released in the future.

Mekk-Knight Crusadia Avramax is a powerful Generic Link 4, heavily played in Spright (pure) and Spright Runick these days. It is considered a tower, since it cannot be targeted by your opponent's effects and is practically invincible in battle, including many decks that don't have an out for it.

Also, some people use it as a budget alternative in Cyberse decks instead of Accesscode Talker.

Nimble Angler is essential in Spright (pure) and Spright Adventurer decks, and is the main target of Spright Sprind's effect.

The card was released in 2012 and its price increased in some regions after being used in Spright, now, in its first reprint, the card returns to a low price.

Rikka Glamour is the Rikka archetype's consistency spell, and it's critical for the deck to work. It stands out from other spells with this function, as it can add 2 monsters instead of just 1, as long as 1 plant monster is offered as a tribute.

Teardrop the Rikka Queen is yet another reprint for Rikka, and this time it's the archetype's boss monster.

Its effect isn't so absurd compared to monsters of more relevant archetypes, but it is still a good way to deal with the opponent's monsters.

Also, getting 200 ATK for every monster Tributed this turn can help you finish games, or at least outrun high ATK monsters.

Wind-Up Kitten is one of Spright Runick's best cards, as the deck needs to forgo its Battle Phase, this card is one of the best ways to deal with your opponent's monsters.

This is yet another card in its first reprint since its release in 2011. The card is now more easily found by players looking to buy it.

Conclusion
